Template:Cite encyclopedia and Template:Delink

It's quite unusual to see both of those templates having cascading full protection. I think regular full protection would do just fine. What do we think? Kurnahusa (talk) 17:20, 1 January 2025 (UTC)

Request for semi-protection - Whopper

Can I please request edit protection on the article Whopper? The article has been subject of many edits which have introduced bad information and vandalism into the work. User removing pages from a category

I noticed that QuantumFoam66 had removed a lot of pages from Category:Elephants, put some of them in Category:Elephants and humans, then now removed them from that category. Hi BigKrow! I notice that this user has not been warned or contacted about the removal of references. For content disputes, discussions should first begin on the article talk page and all users involved should be asked to participate. If it is vandalism, the normal warning process should be followed, with a report to VIP if necessary. Request for semi-protection for Mihir Bhoja

The article Mihir Bhoja is being repeatedly disrupted by IPs, likely due to caste bias [3] [4]. I warned the user twice [5], but they continue to add unacceptable content, especially from non-RS sources. I also invited the user to discuss the matter on the article's talk page [6], but they did not engage. Recently, another IP reverted my edit and possibly abused me by saying "tuadi mkc bro" [7]. I have reverted the caste POV-pushing edits and restored the article to a neutral version. I request semi-protection for the page to prevent further disruptive editing. Thank you very much. Personal attacks and Abuse

Once again, while reverting my changes [10], user @2409:40D0:39:8278:5025:6E0E:9727:AECC has resorted to personal attacks, used offensive slang, and made racist remarks directed at me based on my name and religious beliefs. I have not reverted their edits due to WP:3RR. Additionally, I suspect that @2409:40D0:12D3:1A47:1956:7251:3EDF:D5F6 may be the same individual, as they have also reverted my edits and subjected me to abuse. A bug admins should be aware of

I am using the Wikipedia app for iOS and something really weird happened. A few minutes ago, someone started Smith's Friends with just Im a dinosaur. I was going to QD it, but when I clicked on the article I read Les personnes qui vont vivre éternellement instead. I look at "View edit history" and I read Updated 1416 days ago, then I click on "Page issues" and I read that a user asked for QD on 21 February 2021. Btw I ended up not tagging it for QD, because I literally see a different version of the page. I should probably report the issue somewhere on MediaWiki I guess, but I wanted to let you know that sometimes deleted pages can "come back" via bugs, so that you are prepared to take some extra steps such as revdel before deleting – for example – a page for copyright violations until said bug is fixed. Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie disruption

An IPv6 editor has been disrupting Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie for a while, changing a couple of voice actor names. Their changes were accurate for a previous movie, but not this one and it's been going on for a while. Looking at Special:Contributions/2601:152:5081:CB20:E542:4FED:F26A:7A81/64, they've vandalized other articles in the past, so I'm asking for a range block on the /64 to stop this. Thanks. WP:SALT not working?

It looks like what happened here was that an autoconfirmed user created the article again at 20:40, 11 January 2025 (about 7 hours after the first protection). I checked the MediaWiki source code and it seems that any existing creation protections are removed from a page (title) upon the page's creation. Chenzw  Talk  17:32, 12 January 2025 (UTC)

I'll see if I can help out. On enwiki, we have W:Wikipedia:XFDcloser, which saves an awful lot of time when looking at RfDs, it can close discussions and do the action with one form. Barnyard vandal

Please review the contributions at Special:Contributions/2606:9400:AE00:0:0:0:0:0/40. It's basically a vandalism only range, with nearly every edit they've made reverted. Closing discussions

Hi admins, when you close discussions around WP:DRV and WP:PGA, you can simply mark the section as resolved using {{section resolved|-~~~~}}. There is usually no need to box the discussion, which makes the process easier and simple. Same goes for request for rollback, and patroller. RFCUs is already being handled like that. I haven't included PVGA since the request there is quite rare but it can added to the page if we get more frequent requests. Too many templates on RFCU archive page

Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Archive22 appears in Category:Pages where template include size is exceeded. That means there are too many templates on the page, so it can't display all of them. Module:Message box

Please Special:Import the following pages from enwiki to get dark mode fixes:

@Karachibhai21 If you do not stop being disruptive, your block will be upgraded from a partial block to a full block. You are not supposed to remove RfD tags when there is a discussion ongoing. Go to the discussion page and make an argument for why your page is worthy of being included in Wikipedia. Not urgent in the slightest

I was looking at Simple Talk archives and noticed that some have broken formatting which makes subsequent sections hidden on mobile. On archives 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, this is because Phaedriel's signature has five opening html font tags, but only four closing tags. (This also makes the rest of the text green.) In each instance of the signature, another closing font tag should be added, directly after the "L". I would do it myself but the archives are protected. The category has been restored and the listed categories have been added to that new category. In the future, unless the category was deleted at RFD, you can re-create the category without bringing this to the administrators (assuming it meets our guidelines).
